Lanre Gbajabiamila

Director General/CEO

 Mr. Lanre Gbajabiamila graduated with a B.SC (Hons) degree in Marketing from California State University, USA and obtained a certification in Unix Programming from the prestigious ‘Seale Group’, Atlanta Georgia in 1999.

He started his career with Derivion/Metavante Corporation in 1997 as a Senior Analyst and also worked as Senior Consultant in several blue chip companies such as Bearing Point INC, Atlanta where he was a Senior Management Consultant.

Ever since his return to Nigeria he has been very active in the Nigerian gaming industry such as the National Sports Lottery (NSL) where he was the Senior IT Manager on Software Quality Assurance where he pioneered the Essnet Lottery Operating System (ELOS) which effectively managed 5 million lottery transactions weekly.

He was also appointed General Manager/ Chief Executive Officer of the Lagos State Lotteries Board, where he led the Lagos State Lotteries Board to become a trail blazing regulator of lottery and related gaming activities in Nigeria. Over the years, he has attended international and local executive management programs along with gaming and regulatory training conferences. He is a member of Institute of Directors and the Ikoyi Club, Lagos. He was a non-executive director in Makklink Limited and Ginger Hospitality Limited

Mr Gbajabiamila was appointed and confirmed as Director General of the Commission 2017 and 2018 respectively and brings to the Commission his vast managerial expertise as well as his extensive local and international business network.

He is also an avid lover of sports whose favorite pastime includes soccer, tennis, swimming and travelling. He is an avid Liverpool fan and is married and blessed with 3 children.

 

 

 

Mr. ROBERT .B. BOLOKOR

Director, Human Resources Management

Mr. Robert Blessing Bolokor hails from Delta State of Nigeria. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree (BA) in Accounts and Finance from South Bank University London and is also a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) with over 20 years of overall professional experience; ideally fifteen-plus years of broad cognate financial and operations management experience. He has experience of financial responsibility for the quality and content of all financial data, reporting and audit coordination as well as logistics, human resources management and general administration.

He had worked with various organisations in the UK before returning to Nigeria in 2009 to join the services of the National Lottery Regulatory Commission. A thorough bred professional with an eye for details, He was posted to Delta State as Zonal Coordinator of the Commission in Warri Office in the year 2013 to sanitize the zone. Due to the huge level of success he achieved in the assignment to Warri, he was subsequently transferred back to the Head Office as Deputy Director (Enforcement & Compliance) in 2016 before his appointment as Ag. Director (Admin & Finance) in 2017.

In 2018, he was promoted to the position of Director and until recently, he was the Director in charge of Enforcement and Compliance. He now serves in the capacity of Director, Administration and Human Resources department. He has had a successful track record in setting priorities, keen analytical capabilities, organizational and problem-solving skills which support and enable sound decision making in any responsibility he has been entrusted with.

Mr. Bolokor possesses excellent communication and relationship building skills with an ability to prioritize, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. A multi-tasker with the ability to wear many hats in a fast-paced environment with personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and dedication to the vision and mission of the Commission. He is happily married with 4 children.

 

 

 

Henry Uwadiae

Director Licensing and Operations

Born 24th July, 1961, He attended The University of Benin and the University Of Abuja where he bagged with Honors B.Ed. (English and Literature and LLB respectively. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2008.

He joined the National Lottery Regulatory Commission in 2009 as an Assistant Director, Enforcement and Compliance. Later moved around the various departments of the Commission to avail the Commission the benefit of his wealth of experience.

Assistant Director, Regulation and Monitoring (2011), Assistant Director, Enforcement and Compliance (2012), Deputy Director, Administration (2014), Deputy Director, Enforcement and Compliance (2017), Deputy Director, Licensing and Operations (2018).

He is an Associate Member of Nigerian Institute for Training and Development. Member, Nigerian Bar Association. Member, Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Committee, SBL, NBA. Member. Nigeria Institute of Management (Chartered). Fellow, Institute of Corporate Administration.

An avid reader and prolific writer, Henry is Married with Children.

 

 

 

O. J. ODUNNA, esq

DIRECTOR MONITORING AND ENFORCEMENT

Mr Odunna has been with the National Lottery Regulatory Commission since 2011. Prior to his recent posting, he was the head of the Commissions’ Legal Unit providing professional advice on various lottery and gaming issues. He qualified as a lawyer in 1988 and holds a post-graduate Juris Doctor Law degree. He is the Director of Monitoring & Enforcement Department engaged in policy matters and dispute resolution. Mr Odunna also serves as the Secretary to the Governing Board of the Commission.
