EDO SPEAKER PLEDGES SUPPORT FOR BENIN ZONAL OFFICE

The Speaker, Edo State House of Assembly, Hon. Uyi Igbe has pledged to support the Edo Zonal office of the National Lottery Regulatory Commission to discharge its duties. He made the pledge when the Zonal Coordinator, Maureen Apata and her team paid a courtesy call on the Speaker in his office recently. The Speaker, who thanked the Coordinator for finding time to familiarise with his office and also establish a cordial relationship with his office, however, pledge to give his full backing to the zone when need arose.

Speaking earlier, Mrs. Apata informed the Speaker that the Commission was established under the National Lottery Act 2005 to regulate lottery activities in the country. She further told the Speaker that the main job of the Commission was to regulate promotional lotteries and entire lottery business in Nigeria.
