Minister Commends Gbajabiamila for Supporting Ministry’s Strategic Plan

The Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Rt. Hon. Bitrus Jisalo (MFR) has expressed gratitude to the Director General of the National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC) and the dedicated staff for their support in bringing its Strategic Plan to fruition.

Jisalo made the remark during the launch of the Ministry’s 2024-2028 Strategic Plan “Catalyzing the Renewed Hope Agenda” at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre, Abuja. “I want to specially appreciate the National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC) under the superlative leadership of Mr Lanre Gbajabiamila. All this would not have been possible without your unwavering support, together with your resilient staff,” stated Hon. Jisalo.

Highlighting the significance of the strategic plan, Jisalo emphasized its alignment with the visionary Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR. He underscored the plan’s commitment to rejuvenating the nation and fulfilling the aspirations of its citizens.

“At the helm of our responsibilities is the task to effect special assignments as mandated by the President, aimed at fostering grassroots development and effective policy implementation,” the Minister added.

Mrs. IIbiene Roberts (OON), the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, acknowledged the collaborative effort that made the launch of the Five-Year Strategic Plan possible, noting its historic significance as the Ministry’s first projected plan for the future.

She emphasized its alignment with the Renewed Hope Agenda and its commitment to achieving transformative vision.

“It is an honour and privilege to welcome you to this historic event. Historic in the sense that it is the first time the Federal Ministry of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs has a strategic plan. This plan upholds key initiatives for innovation, comprehensive coverage of the key projects under our oversight functions.”

“This Strategic Plan reflects our shared commitment to achieving the transformative vision set forth by Mr President. Through our collective efforts, we shall strive to realize the objectives and aspirations of the Renewed Hope Agenda for a better and more prosperous Nigeria,” she said.

Dignitaries present at the event included Mr. Lanre Gbajabiamila (OON), Director General of the National Lottery Regulatory Commission, Senator Aminu Iya Abbas, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Science and Technology, Hon. Kennies Moore Nwachukwu, Chairman of the House Committee on Inter-Governmental Affairs, Dr. Bello Maigari, Executive Secretary, National Lottery Trust Fund,

Directors of NLRC, Directors of the Ministry, royal fathers, and many others.

The highlight of the event was the launch of the 2024–2028 Strategic Plan by the Honourable Minister, Permanent Secretary, and other dignitaries, as well as traditional dance performances that enthralled the audience.
