NLRC ISSUES LICENSE TO KIBOBET 

The Director-General, National Lottery Regulatory Commission Mr. Lanre Gbajabi-amila, has described the Nigerian gaming industry as a vibrant economic option in the quest for financial diversification in the country. He made this assertion at the commission’s headquarters, Abuja, while presenting sports betting permit to Kibo Technologies Ltd, operating as KiboBet. 

According to the Director-General, the lottery industry in Nigeria is growing stronger and bigger, hence, has become a very vibrant market option. The lottery industry is attracting more investors into the market. He described Kibo Technologies Limited as partners in progress working in unison for a goal-oriented and value-driven lottery market, geared towards the provision of “Good Causes’’. 

The Director-General also charged KiboBet to always abide by the rules and regulations guiding lottery business in Nigeria, pointing out em-phatically that the terms and conditions stipulated in the agreement, must be respected and followed accordingly…“The business must be done with integrity, transparency, accountability and propriety”. He urged the permit holder to make sure the game of lottery is taken to the next level. 

The Director-General appreciated the Staff of the Commission for painstakingly, going through the rigorous process to make sure the presentation of the permit become a success. He appeals to the staff of the commission to always be on guard and to bring to the notice of management any breach of licensing agreement by operators.

Responding on behalf of KiboBET, a director in the company, Ms. Morenikeji Adedeji, commended the pivotal role played by National Lottery Regulatory Commission in entrenching a vibrant lottery/gaming industry in Nigeria. She thanked the Director-General, the management and the staff of the commission for working hand in glove to make the sporting permit given to KiboBET, a reality. She promised to abide by all terms and conditions of the permit.
