Two(2) Directors, 227 Others Promoted in 2024 Examination

The National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC) has promoted 229 staff who passed the just concluded 2024 promotion examination conducted in Abuja, and across all Zonal Offices nationwide.
Official records reveal that out of the 315 enlisted candidates, a total of Two Hundred and Twenty – Nine (229) staff scored the statutory 60% pass mark and above in the Computer Based Test (CBT) which took place on the 19th of April, 2024.
The successful candidates include Two(2) Directors, Seven(7) Deputy Directors, Twenty-Three(23) Assistant Directors, Twenty-Seven(27) Chief Administrative Officers, (Sixty-Five(65) Assistant Chief Administrative Officers, Sixty-Three(63) Principal Administrative Officers, Twenty-One(21) Senior Administrative Officers, Eleven(11) Administrative Officers I, Three(3) Administrative Officers II, and Six(6) Grade Level 7 Officers, representing a 73% pass rate.
The NLRC Head of Promotion, Mrs. Joy Iheanacho , an Assistant Director emphasised the thorough scrutiny of candidates by the Senior Staff Committee leading to examination preparation to avoid possible lapses and preserve the integrity of the exam before the final approved exam date.
According to Mrs. Ihenacho, this year’s promotion exam marks a novel approach in the Commission to have the annual ritual scheduled and written in the first month of the second quarter of the year other than during the last quarter, adding that the development was a measure of prioritising staff welfare which is expected to boost staff morale.
She thanked the Management for working tirelessly and meticulously to ensure that this year’s promotion examination was timely and thorough. She particularly commended the efforts of the Director General for the unwavering support he gives to the promotion exams on an annual basis by personally supervising the exercise.
“The leadership role of the Director General, Mr. Lanre Gbajabiamila is exemplary and highly commendable. He takes personal interest in staff promotion as a way of encouraging staff welfare and boosting the morale of the entire workforce “ Mrs. Ihenacho stated.
Mrs. Ihenacho also expressed satisfaction with the performance rate of her team in the Promotion Unit for their tireless effort in making this year’s exam a huge success despite the challenges of the preparatory stage.
