NLRC ISSUES CASINO PERMIT TO VISA TECH

The Director-General of National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC), Lanre Gbajabiamila, OON has urged a new permit holder to ensure they play by the provisions of the lottery industry guidelines. He stated this during the permit presentation ceremony to Visa Tech Limited, an event that took place at the Commission’s headquarters in Abuja.

The NLRC DG remarked that granting a license to any company is proof that their documentation has met the required standard and that such a company has met every index of the permit acquisition process. “Our new policy on the KYC is to be sure of whom we are dealing with. I have done my due diligence, and it is good to know you are in good standing with the Commission. I believe the rest of the team will make a mark,” he added.

He commended the new entrants for the resilience demonstrated through the process, as not every applicant gets to be granted the Permit. He encouraged them to work closely with the Commission, and where challenges arise in the cause of operations, to bring such to the notice of the Commission. He advised them to abide by the Terms and Conditions of the permit, as failure to do so he said, would attract strict sanctions.

Speaking on behalf of Visa Tech, Mr. Simon Burrell expressed gratitude to the leadership and management team of the Commission for finding them worthy of being issued the permit. He stated that the Commission provides a safe place for the running of the business, adding that Visa Tech understood what was demanded of them and that they were positioned to play by the books. In his words, “We acknowledge your guide and anticipate it will get even better moving forward.
